2023 Côtes-du-Rhône “Sierra du Sud”
Domaine GramenonA pure Syrah bottling from the land of Grenache. Syrah soaks up its surroundings as if it were at home, offering wild flavors of the Provençal countryside gently wrapped in a thick coat of tooth-staining deep purple fruit. The cool nights at elevation confer lovely freshness to this unhindered expression of southern sunshine.

2022 Côtes-du-Rhône “L’Emouvante”
France | Southern Rhône
Deep, concentrated, and refreshingly saline, this is like great Cornas with Mediterranean influences.
2022 Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge “Contre Couleur”
France | Southern Rhône
Deep, dynamic Grenache feels aptly highlighted by bright and fresh Clairette. Soft and rich, yet still defined.

Durban does here what they do best, keeping the focus and precision of the terroir as well as loads of fruit and pleasure.
2022 Tavel Rosé
France | Southern Rhône
Stony, spicy, and dense, it evokes red berries, watermelon, and garrigue and offers a beautiful accompaniment to a wide range of dishes.
2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape “Télégramme”

This unfiltered bottling from the 2021 vintage is one of the best editions to date.
2023 Côtes-du-Rhône “Poignée de Raisins”

Serve this one cool, from a carafe, with a plain old burger—generously seasoned with herbes de Provence.
2023 Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge “La Rubiconde”
France | Southern Rhône
The complexity and depth of this wine is driven by the 60-80 year old Grenache vines reaching deep down into the clay and limestone soils.
2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape “Télégramme”
France | Southern Rhône
If Télégramme is more about fruit than stones, it is still undeniably Châteauneuf, expressing the nobility of carefully farmed Grenache from the Rhône’s finest terroirs.
2022 Côtes-du-Rhône “La Sagesse”
France | Southern Rhône
La Sagesse carries the full flavor, succulence, and savoriness we associate with Grenache on a graceful and lively frame.
2008 Gigondas “Terrasse du Diable”
France | Southern Rhône
On the surface is an abundance of violets and velvet, amid a cooling sensation of a cold spring on a hot day. Below the surface lurks a bitter austerity.

For the wines that I buy I insist that the winemaker leave them whole, intact. I go into the cellars now and select specific barrels or cuvées, and I request that they be bottled without stripping them with filters or other devices. This means that many of our wines will arrive with a smudge of sediment and will throw a more important deposit as time goes by, It also means the wine will taste better.
