2022 Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge
Domaine JametAllow us to introduce a perfect wine for elevating dinner gatherings: Domaine Jamet’s knock-your-socks-off pure Syrah Côtes-du-Rhône. A pinnacle producer in northern Rhône, Jamet’s bottling goes above and beyond with fruit from Ampuis, just outside the appellation’s designation. Dark and earthy with an inky grip, it offers the region’s renowned refinement with a more approachable price tag. Serve with your favorite one-pot meal featuring anything from pasta, to braised beans, to chicken thighs—the possibilities are plenty!—and prepare for deliciousness.

2021 Hermitage Rouge “La Pierrelle”
France | Northern Rhône
A thick perfume of dry-aged meat, smoke, and violets preface a wine that is powerful, but in perfect proportion.
2022 Condrieu
France | Northern Rhône
I would say that Faury does not make Viognier, but rather one hell of a Condrieu, replete with huge apricot and peach aromas and a fresh, regal palate.
2022 Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah
France | Northern Rhône
With notes of dark fruit, black olives, and smoked meat, it epitomizes elegant Syrah from the northern Rhône?.
2021 Côtes du Vivarais “Fûts de Chêne”
France | Northern Rhône
A white wine that straddles the northern and southern Rhône.
2020 Hermitage Rouge “La Pierrelle”
France | Northern Rhône
Elegance and restraint from one of the hill’s lesser-known terroirs.
2021 Crozes Hermitage “Tiercerolles”

This juicy, blueberry-and-leather-infused Syrah with a long finish is ready to drink tonight.
2021 Côte-Rôtie
France | Northern Rhône
The pinnacle of traditional Côte-Rôtie being produced today.
2019 Saint-Joseph Rouge
France | Northern Rhône
The violets, tapenade, and juicy black fruit in your glass is much unchanged from how it’s always been (and should be).
2022 Saint-Joseph Rouge “Châtelet”
France | Northern Rhône
Hailing from a single vineyard high up on the hill above Saint-Désirat, at the middle point of the Saint-Joseph appellation, this cuvée dials up the fragrance and elegance of Monier-Pérreol’s Saint-Joseph.
About The Producer
Domaine Jamet
Jean-Paul Jamet began his career in the vineyards of Côte-Rôtie in 1976 at the age of 16, working with his father, Joseph, who bottled his first wine that year. Jean-Paul told us that he often found himself working alongside one of our former growers Marius Gentaz, whose vines in Côte Brune bordered his own. With the 2016 vintage, Jean-Paul celebrated his 40th year growing and vinifying Côte-Rôtie. His experience with his enviable collection of sixteen (soon to be nineteen) lieux-dits spread across the best sites of the appellation has given him deep knowledge of how to unlock the greatest expression of Côte-Rôtie from its wide spectrum of terroirs. This savoir-faire makes Jamet the modern day master of the appellation.

I want you to realize once and for all: Even the winemaker does not know what aging is going to do to a new vintage; Robert Parker does not know; I do not know. We all make educated (hopefully) guesses about what the future will bring, but guesses they are. And one of the pleasures of a wine cellar is the opportunity it provides for you to witness the evolution of your various selections. Living wines have ups and downs just as people do, periods of glory and dog days, too. If wine did not remind me of real life, I would not care about it so much.
