Italy
The country with the largest number of indigenous grape varieties—hundreds upon hundreds.
Kermit has worked in Italy for nearly as long as he’s worked in France—a common misconception since he’s well known for importing French wine. He’s imported many Italian greats over the years—Aldo Conterno, Vietti, Poggio di Sotto, and more recently Giuseppe Quintarelli and A. & G. Fantino to name just a few. The wines of Italy continue to be a large focus as we continue to grow the number of wines we import.
We currently import wines from 13 regions of Italy, from 41 producers with our most recent imports coming from Marche and Sardinia.
